Finding form with fibre

Discover the captivating world of modern basketry with our stunning new book, years in the making.

This unique guide takes you on a visual journey through the works of 14 talented Australian basketry artists, celebrating their creative voices.

The book is divided into three simple sections: interviews with these modern artists, a detailed list of plants you can use in your basketry practice, and a practical how-to section.

Alongside the book, there’s a course that complements the content, making it easy and fun to dive into basketry yourself.

We don't just teach craft - there are some really important values at the core of everything we do!

We believe that above all else, being curious is what develops your ability to create, and we want everyone to have the confidence to try new things.

We know that giving yourself time to play and experiment is important for any maker. We love the idea of never striving for perfection or comparing our work to others, but instead embracing and celebrating differences.

We are inspired by those around us, the artists, crafters, and makers within our community, and sometimes beyond

We work together to limit our environmental footprint when crafting. Where possible we only use sustainable or recycled materials and limit our purchases of new products.

Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional custodians of the land that we call home. We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and respect their continuing culture and customs, wisdom, and teachings that have nurtured this land for so long.

We also acknowledge the First Australians as the traditional custodians of this continent, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history.

Sovereignty was never ceded.
